I’m a general practice naturopath, with expertise in a wide range of conditions. Thanks for dropping by my website.
My interest in healing through nature began early with the childhood book ‘The Secret Garden’. The story of Mary, a pale, unhappy child who befriends her sickly, invalid cousin, inspired me with its tale of recovery through fresh air, nourishing food and running wild through a beautiful garden. Eating porridge for breakfast, digging soil until your heart raced, laughing with a friend – I realised these simple things could profoundly affect health and happiness.
It took many years, including the birth of two babies for me to obtain an applied science degree and then my Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy. Finally Harvest Health Naturopathy was born.
I think a lot of people believe Naturopaths are incredibly disciplined and only eat wholesome, healthy food. While that is largely true and I believe in the benefits of eating well, and a healthy lifestyle, I also believe my life is better with a bit of chocolate, and the occasional red wine helps it along too. Please don’t think there is any judgement in a naturopathic consultation.
I am a lecturer in Nutrition at Endeavour College of Natural Health, teaching students enrolled in Nutrition and Naturopathy degrees and I also assist in the supervision of students in the student clinic
As I am a general practice naturopath, I see people at all stages of life with different conditions. I have special interests, however, in mental health and menopause. I care deeply about using my knowledge to help people – please get in touch if you feel I could help you.
